MD State Softball Tournament Teams

Congratulations to the following teams who are competing for the title of MD State Softball Champion!
(Check back as teams will be added as information is received)

District 1: Hancock Little League is the smallest Little League in District 1 and to be able to send a team to the State Tournament is a great accomplishment. This is our 1st ever Major League Softball District Championship.  With only 10 players on the roster, it is very special to be able to compete and give these young ladies the experience of the State Tournament. Eight of our 11 players have been in our program for at least 4 years so I am honored to give them this opportunity.

District 2:
Montgomery County Little League is a Maryland based Little League Organization offering programs to develop superior citizens through athletics and the life lessons presented in the game softball to our girls. Teamwork, character, work ethic, resilience, and especially fun are the basis of our team. A love of the game is why we play this great game!

District 5: We are the Major Softball Team from Havre de Grace Little League. Havre de Grace, MD is located at the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay in Eastern Harford County. Our girls are passionate about softball and strive to be the best they can be, on and off the field!

District 6: Tri City little league is comprised of children from the north Dorchester county area. The Tri City all stars were chosen from 2 little league softball teams, team lightning and team limelights. Coaching staff, Larry Nagel and Jeff Robinson, led the all star team for manager, Chuck Creighton, thru the district tournament to capture the district 6 championship.

District 7: St. Mary's Little League is an all volunteer organization dedicated to giving St. Mary’s county youth the opportunity to develop the principles of good sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect through playing baseball and softball. Each year, the league provides baseball and softball tournament and instructional play opportunities for over 1,500 youth boys and girls ages 4 to 16. This year's District 7 Champion is comprised of talented young players who play hard, strive to improve, are unselfish, and have fun.

District 8: Delmar Little League is extremely athletic.  Every girl is able to play, and play them well, multiple positions on the field. They all can run and have a great understanding of the game for their age. Most importantly, each and every girl comes to practice focused and ready to work hard to achieve the goals set for them. Win or lose it has been a pleasure having the opportunity to work with these young ladies, they are a GREAT group of girls!
